The role of Indian women has changed a lot in the coming years and not limited to holding important positions in various segments in Telangana. The woman have finally proved their excellence in every field they have stepped in, be it in the field of Sports, Civil Services, Media, Education, Science, Information Technology, Medicine, Art and Culture. However, this transformation did not happen overnight.
Entrepreneurship among women is a fresh phenomenon. In Telangana, a favourable socio-economic environment helps in misusing the hidden entrepreneurial flairs among women. Women entrepreneurs are the women or a group of women who start, establish and direct a business enterprise.
Most of the factors over a period of time have contributed to the increase in the participation ratio of the woman in every section of the society. Women in Telangana play identical and equal role as men and in every sector and have established themselves to become the pioneers in the task they have chosen to do and achieve the epitome of success.
The Government of Telangana has created the “Women Entrepreneurship Hub” also known as the “WEH”.
The process of industrialisation is done by executing several types of incentives that assists the entrepreneurs is carried out by the Government of Telangana. The government confirms an entrepreneur-friendly and graft-free system of executing the incentives.
OBJECTIVES OF THE WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP HUB
The objective behind establishment of the Women Entrepreneur Hub in the state of Telangana is given below as follows:
- It targets to power an energetic business ecosystem through simplifying linkage of industry associations, enterprises, mentors and peer-to-peer connect.
- It hopes to expressively increase the number of women entrepreneurs who will create and empower a dynamic new Telangana.

ELIGIBILITY FOR BECOMING THE MEMBER OF THE WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP HUB
The standards for becoming the member of the Women Entrepreneurship Hub are given below as follows.
- Candidate must be women.
- Candidate must be the native of Telangana.
- Candidate must be above 18 years of age.
- Candidate must be educated and cleared graduation.
- Candidate must have Aadhar, Pan Card at time of registration.
- Candidate must have bank account of bank in Telangana along with Bank Passbook.
- Candidate should have bank statement along with application.
- Certificate from owner that she does not have any linking with other large scale, medium scale or allied units in Telangana.
FEATURES OF THE WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP HUB
Women’s Entrepreneurship Hub is a business and women centric scheme launched by the Government of Telangana. The features of this scheme are given below as follows:
- It hopes to significantly augment the number of women entrepreneurs forming and empowering a dynamic new Telangana.
- A successful woman entrepreneur will get motivated to meet new people and develop her business contacts.
- A potential entrepreneur can take the advantage of opting for the latest know-how and production process and operate at higher volume.
- It motivates to work with a stimulating mind and with an attitude to achieve success and does not take up work for the sake of doing it or just for earning few bucks.
- This initiative by the Government of Telangana plays a major role in creating a perfect work/non-work balance, where in the women folk can spend quality time with her children in a best possible way.
- Assisting the women entrepreneurs to nurture the women initiative in the business world by having access to women growth, government programs, policy backing, and respectable participation of women, to rise above the rest.
- Under this scheme, using its partners will provide guidance on different sources of funding such as equity, debt, applicable schemes and grants.
- This scheme encourages the women folk to support un-explored and under-explored sectors in the economyof Telangana.

CHALLENGES FACED BY THE WOMEN
Though many Indians have a western outlook, they are not open to women working in the companies, and establishing a new line of business. The major challenge the women face is the gender discrimination and it comes to the fore, when it comes to finding a genuine investor for funding the business enterprises.
Most of the women are very homely and find it extremely difficult to launch their ventures in the field of Science, IT, Bio-technology, Pharmacy, Technology, and Engineering. This is because women in Telangana are poorer in analytical skills.
Furthermore, they will face rigid competition for marketing their products, skillsets with both the organised sector and their male counterparts. Women also face the challenge of limited mobility owing to social ethics, family ties, customs, shortage of education and little risk-bearing ability.

In Telangana, women control the household spending activity. So, unless it is male-focussed business women are more likely to better understand the customer viewpoint. Furthermore, women are better at building and maintaining relationships than men asthe continued relationship benefit a business enormously because nothing can be achieved without trust.

When you have good communication skills you can build the trust and create harmony among the people. In this scenario, for a women entrepreneur, the employees and the clients is the major force. You have to admit the fact that females are more shopaholic compared to the males as they know the requirements of the house better as they understand the requirements of the kid’s, husbands, and in-laws.
Women form 88% of the purchases done in Telangana and hence nobody other than a women entrepreneur will understand the need of the customer and offer the solutions or the products to them.
To be honest, a business woman will bring more valuable consumer understanding in to the workplace, meeting rooms and conference table, leading to boosting the net profit of the company in Telangana, compared to men.
