Education is the basic requirement for human development in the state of Madhya Pradesh. When a person gets good education, the employment opportunities are broad and the income become very high. The growth of an individual and the progress of a nation depend on education.

It is also the crucial instrument in developing the child to learn and understand lot of cultural values and become a strongest force in encouraging him/her to be an intelligent, diligent and accountable citizen of the state of Madhya Pradesh. If you look at the scenario in the past four decades, children’s access to basic education has been the foremost focus of national and international education development efforts carried out by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

But unfortunately even though more and more children get enrolled in the educational institutions like the Private or Government Schools, they fail to complete the full road map of basic education. The school drop outs is alarmingly high in the state and is a menace not only in India but also other nations in Asia. Reducing the dropout menace is the major component in order to enhance the need to have basic education, particularly in states with high enrolment rates.

Empowering the education to the women is vital to boost the education in the minds of children. Furthermore, this also contributes to an increase in confidence and decision-making authority within the household. If you look at the literacy rate in Madhya Pradesh, though the percentage of literacy is intensifying, the major area of concern is the number of illiterate children in the age group of 7 to 16 years is also on a high.

The Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana is the brain child of the Government of Madhya Pradesh under the amazing leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan to give another chance for the School drop outs and failures of 10th and 12th Standard in the state.

OBJECTIVES OF THERUK JANA NAHI YOJNA

  • To recognise the reasons for the school dropouts at local and state levels.
  • To comprehend the major reasons for school dropouts reported by the family members in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
  • To analyse the behaviour issues of the parents and the household leading to the rise in school dropouts in the state.

To provide education to children from all walks of life and make a big difference in their lives and eliminate the menace of illiteracy from the state of Madhya Pradesh.

MISSION OF THE RUK JANA NAHI YOJNA

  • Encouraging the enrolment of children from backward and rural areas in the school to rise above the rest.
  • Giving importance to change in the behaviour of the parents and give them good education in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Bringing innovation in the teaching methodologies in the state to encourage students to study and work hard.

REASONS FOR SCHOOL DROPOUTS IN M.P

The reasons for having the highest level of the school drop outs in the state of Madhya Pradesh before the launch of Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana started by the Government of Madhya Pradesh are as follows:

  • Cost of the education is sky rocketing.
  • Required helping hand in household works.
  • The distance house and the educational institute is very far.
  • Need the helping hand for payment in cash or kind.
  • Repeatedly failing in the class.
  • Lot of work in the family farm land and business.
  • Students getting married at a very young age.
  • Higher education is irritating and not necessary.
  • Girls not having good education centres.
  • Proper transport facilities not available in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Need the helping hand to take care of all activities of siblings.
  • Showing no interest in the studies.

FEATURES OFFERED UNDER THE RUK JANA NAHI YOJNA

There are various features offered under the Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana given below as follows.

  • The student can save the year as writing supplementary exams will take lot of time.
  • This will make students confident as he/she will be at par with the normal students in Madhya Pradesh.
  • The student can reapply under the Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana if he or she has not cleared one or two subjects in 10th or 12th standard.
  • The date of examination for 10th standard is 4th June 2022 and the 12th standard is 7th June 2022.
  • The result is available on 28th July 2022, and it will be posted on the website as well as in the notice board of all schools in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The exam will be conducted by Madhya Pradesh Open School Educational Board, Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal at Bhopal.
  • The students can also apply for revaluation under this scheme if they are not convinced about the examination marks.
  • The mode of language used in the examination is Hindi or English.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE RUK JANA NAHI YOJNA

The eligibility requirements for becoming the member of the Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh are given below as follows:

  • The student must be born in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The age of the student must be above 14 years.
  • The student should have the failed report card and mark sheet.
  • The student must also have the previous exam hall ticket.
  • The student must have an active mobile number.
  • Disabled students will be given extra preference under this scheme.
  • The students of the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Endangered Tribes and the Other Backward Class will be given tremendous importance.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING UNDER THE RUK JANA NAHI YOJNA

There are certain methods to be taken into consideration while applying for the Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana given below as follows.

  • The applicant must go to the website given below.
  • Type in the website https://mpsos.mponline.gov.in
  • Click on the Exam Form link for 10th or 12th standard.
  • Enter all the basic information under the website.
  • Attach all the applicable documents in the PDF formats like the previous marks card and the hall tickets.
  • Attach your passport size photo in JPEG format.
  • Type in the Captcha code, an Alphanumeric Number in the box.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • The applicant will receive the message in his/her mobile number.

Even with all the efforts completed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh the school drop outs in the state is very high. We need to make the educational schemes like the Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana more robust and authoritative to protect the interest of the students and promote their welfare.
