People with disabilities form 5% of the population in Rajasthan and many people with disabilities are very confused, live in poverty, and many suffer from social elimination and face extensive blockades. The need of the hour is to understand these people and analyse their basic needs look into their Education, Health care, Employment, Social and legal support.

Furthermore, most of the disabled persons does not go to the school due to long distances and inability to reach the school on time. The great challenge is that most of Rajasthan’s persons with disabilities live in the rural areas, and rehabilitation services and access to essential assistive devices is very negligeable.

Rehabilitation services and devices for support is very critical to enabling people to learn and communicate more effectively, participate in home, school and work environments, live autonomously, and improve their quality of life. Though there are many rehabilitation centres in the cities in Rajasthan, to be honest only a small percentage of persons with disabilities are able to profit from these affordable and appropriates services.

Persons with disabilities are more likely to have a poor socioeconomic outcome like no proper education, pathetic health outcomes, feeling of insecurity, low levels of employment, and getting confused.

The Government of Rajasthan has launched the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana to motive the handicapped people in the state of Rajasthan and make then independent in taking control of their nagging lives.

OBJECTIVES OF THE MUKHYAMANTRI VISHESH YOGYAJAN SAMMAN YOJANA

There are various objectives of the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana given below as follows:

FEATURES OF THE MUKHYAMANTRI VISHESH YOGYAJAN SAMMAN YOJANA

The features of the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana given below as follows:

  • The scheme was started in 2019 by Rajasthan Government.
  • This scheme is ideal for the disabled persons from 8 years onwards.
  • This scheme gives vital importance towards Equality and Non discrimination of the people in Rajasthan.
  • The person is entitled to getting the Disability Handicapped Certificate as per the directions of the government.
  • In the case of mentally retarded person, the amount will reach the guardian of the person.
  • The benefits of this schemes reach the disabled people from various religion and religious groups in the state of Rajasthan.
  • Giving the stand in order to protect the disabled persons from violence, abuse and exploitations.
  • The annual income of a person getting the benefits under this scheme from the rural areas must be less than or equal to INR 80000.
  • The annual income of a person getting the assistances under this scheme from the urban areas must be less than or equal to INR 1 lakhs.
  • Giving the due pension to the handicapped persons in the state and promoting their welfare.
  • Stressing on covering more people from various parts of Rajasthan.
  • The pension amount given to the people under the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana is ranging from INR 750 to INR 1500.
  • The INR 1500 is given to the senior citizens, who are disabled persons in Rajasthan.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BECOMMIING THE MEMBER OF THE MUKHYAMANTRI VISHESH YOGYAJAN SAMMAN YOJANA

The eligibility criteria for becoming the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana given below as follows:

  • The applicant must be born in the state of Rajasthan.
  • The age of the applicant must be above 10 years to apply.
  • The applicant must have more than 50% of disability in order to reap the benefits of the scheme.
  • The applicant suffering from diseases like Leprosy and other related diseases can take advantages of this scheme.
  • There is separate handicapped pension for both husband and wife.
  • The applicant being a dwarf person can also participate under this scheme.
  • The mentally handicapped person can also apply under this scheme and get the benefits.

  • The Xerox of the Below Poverty Line Card.
  • Below Poverty Line and Above Poverty Line Card.
  • The Birth Certificate verified by the gazetted officer.
  • The Xerox of the Physically Handicapped Certificate.
  • Physically Handicapped Certificate of the government.
  • The Passport size photos self-attested by the applicant.
  • The Residential Certificate verified by the gazetted officer.
  • The Nativity Certificate copy verified by the gazetted officer.
  • Attested copy of Aadhar Card verified by the gazetted officer.
  • The Bank Pass Book showing the first and the last page Xerox with the bank account details.
  • The Medical documents showing marks of extent of the abnormality from the Rajasthan Government Hospital.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING UNDER THE MUKHYAMANTRI VISHESH YOGYAJAN SAMMAN YOJANA

There are various procedures for applying under the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana given below as follows:

  • The applicant must open the Google Chrome or the Internet Explorer.
  • The applicant must open the website link given below.
  • https://ssp.rajasthan.gov.in
  • You must go to the registration section of the scheme and click on the register button.
  • You must type the basic details like the Name, Age, Mobile Number, Address, District, Taluks, City, Pin-code, Email address, % of disability and other information.
  • The applicant must enter the valid captcha code near the text box.
  • The applicant should upload the PDF format of various document asked in the online application.
  • The applicant must click on the submit button.
  • The message is displayed in the mobile number.
  • The applicant must take the print out of the application form and submit it to the Village Development Officer for rural areas and for urban areas it is at the Divisional Office of that particular city or town in Rajasthan.

The Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Yojana is a small step in a big direction done by the Government of Rajasthan in order to bring the disabled people at par with the normal people and make them independent in life.
