Skills and knowledge are the supreme forces of economic growth and social development for any state and Rajasthan is giving lot of importance to skill development. After the onslaught of the pandemic, many people lost their jobs and entity, and as per a survey done by the third party agency, 80 million people lost their jobs in various corners of the globe.

Rajasthan is one of the biggest states in India and is making a virtuous mark in the Industrial segment and to run and manage these industries, you need a good skilled force to get it done. It is observed that Nations with higher literacy levels and excellent skill sets work effectively to the challenges and opportunities in domestic and international job markets.

The 13th five year plan has stressed on the concept of Skill development and Rajasthan is moving more effectively towards the Knowledge economy. In the past skill development meant the growth and development of the manual skills. However in the present scenario, under the new and knowledge economic growth and development, the skill sets is changing from Personal, Professional, Conceptual, Managerial to other skills.

The Government of Rajasthan under the leadership of Mr. Ashok Gehlot is creating a good environment for the development of the new skill and updating their existing skills to match the industry standards in the state.

The Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is the scheme brought in consisting of Saksham, Rajkwik and Samarth Rajasthan in 2019. This was created in order to offer employment to youths in the state and prevent the migration of the people from Rajasthan.

OBJECTIVES OF THE MUKHYAMANTRI KAUSHAL VIKAS YOJANA

  • To encourage large number of youths in the state to take up the Industry relevant training helping them to have a good living.
  • Attention is given to the up skilling of the beneficiaries in the state.
  • To enhance originality in the minds of youths from 18-40 years of age.
  • To undertake various study tours for skill based activities in the state and invent new methods.

To develop the sense of hard work and motivation in the youth to achieve the zenith of academic growth and development and encourage them to diversity their resources logically, and motivate them to be a responsible, creative and being very productive in the state.

  • Provide lot of employment opportunities to the rural and the urban youths in Rajasthan.
  • To reduce the skill gaps and enhance the industry development in the state.
  • Setting up a quality assurance team and promote apprenticeships to tackle countless issues.
  • Enhancing the chances of the productivity and employability of the work forces in the organised and the unorganised sections in the state.
  • Encouraging the marginalised and disadvantaged groups to develop and exhibit their skill-sets.

CHALLENGES IN THE SKILLING SCENARIO IN RAJASTHAN

The major challenges coming to the fore front of getting skilled in the state of Rajasthan are given below as follows:

  • There is a perception that skilling is good for people not able to rise ahead of rest is not correct.
  • No motivation to become entrepreneur in the state and this affects the skilling sector very badly.
  • The assessment centres are available in the state of Rajasthan and unfortunately they are without proper audit and monitoring.
  • Lack of trainers and effective practitioners in the industry can affect skilling segment.
  • There is a tremendous mismatch between the demand and supply segments in the state.
  • There is shortage of quality mentors and inadequate access to financial assistance to various start-ups in Rajasthan.

  • People living in Rajasthan above 20 years of age.
  • The applicant must clear 10th standard as the basic education.
  • The applicant can be from the rural and the urban background.
  • The applicant should not have criminal records against his/her name.
  • The deprived applicants like the Poor in academics, Diploma Certificate Holders, Certificate Holders of Private Organisations, ITI, Polytechnic, can register under these courses to get employed in respectable companies.

  • Birth Certificate Xerox.
  • Previous work experience details.
  • Xerox of Physically Handicapped Certificate.
  • Passport size photos and stamp size photos.
  • Attested Xerox copies of the Aadhar and Pan Card.
  • Driving License copy verified by the gazetted officer.
  • The Employment Registration Card registered in Rajasthan.
  • Electricity bills attested by the gazetted officer are essential.
  • Xerox of the Nativity Certificate indicated by the gazetted officer.
  • Caste Certificates for SC/ST/OBC verified by the Gazetted officer.
  • Xerox of the Bank Passbook displaying the first and the last page.
  • Residential certificate of the applicant showing the address proof.
  • The income certificate of the family verified by the gazetted officer.
  • Educational details like the Matriculation, the Diploma, and Degree certificate confirmed by the gazetted officer.
  • No Objection Certificate from the Tahsildar, if the applicant is from rural areas of Rajasthan.
  • Xerox Copy of the Ration card showing the Above Poverty line (APL) and Below Poverty line (BPL) is compulsory.

  • Fill in all the basic information like Name, Age, Sex, Mobile Number, Email address, and others.
  • You need to fill the Captcha near the box given in the online form.
  • OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your email address or the mobile number.
  • Please make sure all the details are entered perfectly.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • The message is displayed in the mobile number stating that the person has been registered under the Mukhyamantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
