The state government of Madhya Pradesh under the able leadership of Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is playing a crucial role in development of IT in the state. They plan to showcase Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur as the major cities giving importance to IT.

The Madhya Pradesh IT (Information Technology) policy is the major initiative done by the government to augment the growth and development of IT. The task has been entrusted to the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC), an establishment created by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Department of Information Technology to enhance the IT production in the Public/Private Segments.

OBJECTIVES OF THE MADHYA PRADESH IT POLICY

To analyse the IT/ITES Ecosystem in the state and work towards making Madhya Pradesh number one state in IT segment in India.

  • To improve the investment flow and enhance the employment situation in the state.
  • Recommend changes in the approach towards IT and make it an important segment of Madhya Pradesh other than Agriculture and Industries.

Provide a base for attracting the investment in the IT segment, to promote the youth to develop IT and transforming the economy from resource based process to Knowledge Based Process in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

  • Creation of a Single Window System to allow the IT players to take permissions from all departments at one click.
  • Establishment of a IT committee under the Chief Minister and the Principal Secretary to the CM, handling the growth and development of the IT, BPO, KPO, and ITES corporations in the state.
  • Giving financial assistance to the IT start ups to overcome the Pandemic Challenges.
  • Creation of ATM, Banks, Bus Stops, Railway Stations, Metros, Restaurants, School, Colleges, and Residential areas in IT parks to boost the IT companies in the state.
  • Holding regular Seminars and Exhibition in the field of IT to boost the IT activities in the state.
  • Providing Water, Transport, Power facilities to the IT establishments.
  • Giving chance to government and private colleges and IT and polytechnic institutes to interact with various IT companies in the state to boost awareness in IT.
  • Regular monitoring of various IT projects under the government to make sure it is going in correct direction.
  • Reimbursing the EPF (Employee Provident Funds) and Employee State Insurance (ESI) for the start-ups.
  • Training the youths of Madhya Pradesh to become good and successful entrepreneurs.
  • Encouraging the local and foreign investors in Madhya Pradesh to make investments and reducing the hurdles.

E-Governance

The government is supporting various services like Property Registration, Education services, Pharmacy, Census, Agro consultation and Trainings, PublicGrievances, Online Tax Payments, Vehicle Registration, Download Forms, Employment, and Land Records Maintenance, Business Correspondence, Keeping the Transport and Police records, and others.

Land Use

This is the critical part of the Madhya Pradesh IT (Information Technology) policy where in 60% of the total land area for IT investment will be used for IT Operations and the 40% land area will be used for secondary and support services in the state. Furthermore, the vital aspect of the Special Economic Zones will apply.

Data Services

This policy offers amazing facilities like the Data Communication, IP Telephony, Video Conferencing, and the Internet Availability. Connection using the Fibre Optic Cables and Wired Line is done.

Uniform Infrastructure

The Government of Madhya Pradesh will develop various infrastructures like the State Wide Area Network (SWAN), IT Parks, SEZ(Special Economic Zones) and Corridors, Data Centre, Business Contingency Plans (BCP) and others in the state.

Stamp Duty Concessions

The stamp duty paid by the IT units applicable on the Sale, Lease by various Government associated agencies and financial establishments is encouraged.

Skill Gap Reimbursement

This is the core of the policy where in one time reimbursement is available up to 60% of the cost incurred subject to the maximum of INR 11,000 per employees for offering the Skill Gap training to the IT, ITES Professional in Madhya Pradesh.

Marketing Assistance

The IT establishments in Madhya Pradesh will be receiving the 50% subsidies on various stalls allotted in Exhibitions, and Expos for participating. The amount is INR 1 Lakhs for National and more than INR 1 Lakhs for foreign players in the state.

  • Please connect with Department of Science/Information Technology of the MP Government.
  • You must fill the application form with all the personal details.
  • Attach all the Xerox of the documents mentioned in the form.
  • All the personal details of the Chairman, Board of Directors and other personnel in management.
  • Photos of all members and the governing council of the IT Company.
  • Bank Account details of the members and management.
  • Wait for 1 month to get the clearance on the issue.
  • The IT Committee headed by the Chief Minister and his principal secretary will analyse the document and approve the request.
