The eligibility criteria’s for becoming the member of the Gujarat Solar Power Policy are given below as follows:

  • The beneficiary must be born in the state of Gujarat.
  • The beneficiary must be above 20 years.
  • The beneficiary can from a semi-rural or the rural or the urban background having flair for promoting renewable energy.
  • The beneficiary must submit a project report to the State Nodal Agency (SNA) for reaping the benefits under the Gujarat Solar Power Policy.
  • The beneficiary must have completed graduation with 50% marks.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR THE GUJARAT SOLAR POWER POLICY

The procedures for applying for the Gujarat Solar Power Policy are given below as follows:

  • The applicant needs to fill in the application form under this scheme.
  • All the personnel information must be entered and the relevant certificate demanded must be attached.
  • The details like the Name of the applicant, Type of firms like the Partnership, Individual, Proprietary, Address details, Aadhar Number, Website, Bank details, Nature of Bank Account with IFSC codes, Mobile number, Email address, Details of the land, and land area details.
  • The fees must be paid along with the application form and the DD must be raised in favour of the nationalised bank in the state of Gujarat.

Do we get any subsidy from the government under this scheme?

Yes, the Government of Gujarat will offer the subsidy to the beneficiaries under this scheme from 30 to 60% to various categories of the users under certain conditions given below like:

  • General Category: 30% Capital Subsidy or loans at 5% rate of interest.
  • Special Category: Domestic and Non-commercial categories where in the beneficiary will get the 60% Capital Subsidy and 5% of loans on 80% of the decided cost of the project.

  • Channel Partners of MNRE: You must go to the website and get the system directly installed at a certain level of the subsidy available. MNRE is Ministry of new and Renewable Energy.
  • State Nodal Agency: The beneficiary must contact the relevant state Nodal Agency to get information on the size, cost, features and other specifications.
