History of the Tumkur Grain Merchants Cooperative Bank Limited

Tumkur Grain Merchants Cooperative Bank Limited is one of the major Urban Co-operative Bank in the State, functioning with its Head Office at Tumkur in Karnataka. This bank is the ultimate creation encouraged by the grain merchants of the city of Tumkur and created on December 13, 1963. Shri. A.K. Parshwanath is the founder president of this wonderful establishment and this started with an initial capital investment of INR 5 Lakhs. 

Furthermore, the Tumkur Grain Merchants Cooperative Bank Limited was not a runaway hit initially, but due to the efforts of the founder and some leading grain merchants in Tumkur, the strength of the bank increased to 11000 plus members and now this financial establishment is one of the landmark establishments in the entire city of Tumkur.
