The Maharajas of Travancore in 1914, His Highness Sree Moolam Thirunal Ramavarma, introduced a royal decree as it was registered in 1915 as the “Trivandrum Central Co-operative Bank”. This bank started to work in the princely state of Travancore and began to work from January 18, 1916 with a limited deposits of INR 100,000. There are more than 20 plus branches and contains more than 70 plus employees.
After November 1, 1956 when Kerala was formed, this State Co-operative Bank became “ the Kerala State Co-operative Bank Limited and it was inducted in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act of 1934. During 1972 this bank got the license to do banking under Section 22 of the Banking Regulation Act ,1966. We are a dedicated organisation following the the business of banking within the frame work of rules given by the Reserve Bank of India and National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD).
