History of the Kolhapur Urban Co-Operative Bank Limited

The Kolhapur Urban Co-Operative Bank Limited is the brain child of the late Shri Bhaskarrao Jadhav, and he was inspired by the social philosophy of Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj, a powerful ruler of Kolhapur State. He was the Revenue Minister of Kolhapur in Maharashtra State and in 1913 this bank was created to resolve financial issues of the people living in and around Kolhapur. We are having 10 plus branches in Kolhapur and good in getting rid of various financial issues.  The Harijan were the members of this bank and also the first one to bring women as its members to the core team.

Since 1998 we have gone ahead and computerised all the branches and employed more staff to assist our esteemed customers. Shri Umesh Baburao Nigade is the President of the Kolhapur Urban Co-Operative Bank Limited and K Vishwanathan is the CEO of the Kolhapur Urban Co-Operative Bank Limited.
