The Kangra Cooperative Bank Limited has a very slow and humble origin in 1960 when some energetic youth living in Kangra decided to set up a financial establishment in order to protect the interest of the small and marginal farmers, contractual labourers, artisans and people doing various menial jobs in and around the beautiful town of Kangra. This establishment started like a small cooperative society and later onwards with lot of honesty, dedication and hardwork, the The Kangra Cooperative Bank Limited became a fully owned Co-operative bank in Himachal Pradesh and exactly after 12 years became a strong establishment.
Reserve Bank of India gave the license in June 1995 to start the business enterprises and later on 20 plus branches were added to the existing branch in Kangra. The Head office of the Kangra Cooperative Bank Limited was established in Paharganj in Himachal Pradesh. All the banks are computerised in 2000 and began to offer good customer service to the people of Himachal Pradesh. We work 6 days in a week other than 2nd Saturday and 4th Saturday and also buy various Government Securities.
