History of The Greater Bombay Cooperative Bank Limited

The Greater Bombay Cooperative Bank Limited also known as the Greater Bank, had its very simple and  humble beginning over five decades ago on 10th December 1952. This happened in 1952 when a small group of philanthropists and social reformers came forward and created this bank. These people came forward and created this bank in order to protect the interest of the poor and the middle class community on a large scale. 

Many new and interesting schemes were launched by the Greater Bombay Cooperative Bank Limited in order to enhance their customer base and make their presence felt in entire Maharashtra. We became a scheduled bank in 1996 and encouraged the customers from the low, upper and middle income groups.
