History of Shinhan Bank

Shinhan Bank is a korean bank also known as Jusik Hoesa Sinan Eunaeng and it is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It was the first bank in Korea created under the name of Hanseng Bank  in 1897. The Shinhan Bank was established by Mr. Kim Jong Han in 1897 and became operational in 1900. The bank was restructured and created in 1982 and came under the regulatory power of the Shinhan Financial Group along with the Jeju Bank. The Bank of Chohung merged with the Shinhan Bank on April 1, 2006 and started its operations. 

Japanese banks played a major role in the rise of the Shinhan Bank and they gave financial help to the Korean banks at low rate of interest and earn huge profits.  Mr. Jin Ok Dong is the CEO of the Shinhan Bank and believes in changing the approach of the customers and delivering new delights in giving quality financial services to the customers.
