History of Shikshak Sahakari Bank Limited

Shikshak Sahakari Bank Limited is the major institution created in order to protect the interest of the teachers and promote their welfare. This bank was established in the year 1979 in order to make a difference in the lives of teachers. All the teachers of Nagpur Town came forward and created this institution in order to protect the noble profession. They believed that only teachers will protect the interest of the teachers. After 1983 the operations of the bank expanded and the membership was opened to all the people. The bank became a financial establishment in 1987 and achieved the deposits of more than INR 110 Crores. 

The Shikshak Sahakari Bank Limited got the Scheduled Bank status in 1999 and in Vidharba and Marathwada region it rose to become one of the top 25 banks and make its presence felt in the minds and heart of the people. The bank has got more than 20 plus branches in the state of Maharashtra and spread its operations in places like Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Bhandara, Nagpur and the nearby areas.
