The Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank was established in Ahmedabad in order to protect the interest of the people and promote their welfare. Earlier Ahmedabad was known by the name of Kalupur a suburban area that has the railway station. This bank was started by Shri Baldev bhai and he was born in Sanand in 1917. He was a great visionary and believed in making difference to the life of the person and he was very social oriented in nature. Furthermore, he wanted to offer good life to the people along with improving their way of life. In 1973 he became the head of Gujarat Anaj Vyapari Sangh and also became the president of Gujarat Veypari Mahamandal.
During 1969 many banks were getting nationalised and many businessman were struggling to get good loans. At this juncture, he established a branch for grain merchants and farmers to open their bank accounts. On December 5, 1970 the RBI gave the license to start the bank and it started in a small room in Kalupur.
In the year 1995 the Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank got the status of the Multi State Scheduled Bank and we are giving stiff competition to various nationalised banks in terms of technology and its related services.
