Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited is the primary bank located in the state of HImachal Pradesh. It was created by combining the The Chamba Central Co-operative Bank Limited, The Mandi Central Co-operative Bank Ltd and the Mahasu Central Co-operative Bank, and were created to protect the interest of agricultural community in Himachal Pradesh. The Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative bank was established in 1953 by combining all the above mentioned banks.
The registration of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited was done on August 1953 under the cooperative Act of 1912 and the bank became fully operational in 1954. Bank of Sirmour was also merged in 1955 and has created branches in Shimla, Sirmour, Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi and Bilaspur.
