History of the HDFC Bank 

The HDFC Bank also known as the Housing Development Bank of India is the biggest financial and banking service provider in India and it is located in Mumbai and we are among the first bank to get the approval from the Reserve Bank of India regarding setting up the private sector bank in 1994. The head office and the corporate office is located at Sandoz House in Worli and it was inaugurated by the Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.   • January 29, 2020, RBI imposed a monetary penalty on HDFC Bank for not able to undertake survey of 40 plus current accounts.
  • In Odisha a manager of HDFC bank was arrested because of various fraud related charges to the tune of INR 60 Lakh in Odisha.
  • Altico Capital and Dubai's Mashreq Bank accused HDFC Bank of using the funds the company raised through the external borrowings.
  • RBI imposed a penalty of INR 10 crore on HDFC Bank for not going the effective compliance in the field of the regulatory compliance.
