The GS Mahanagar Co-Operative Bank was created by the people from the Ahmednagar Dist. in the name of “The Ahmednagar Sahakari Bank Ltd.” on 6th October 1973, and the new name was branded as The Mahanagar Co-operative Bank Ltd from 1998. We have introduced new facilities like the RTGS, NEFT, Demat Accounts, Online Banking, UPI, BHIM and E-commerce, Safe Deposit Lockers, Loans, and the Mobile Banking services in Maharashtra.

Gs Mahanagar Co-Operative Bank Limited was established under the name of “The Ahmednagar Sahakari Bank Limited" on October 6th, 1973 by Late.Solicitor Shri. G.S.Shelke and his colleagues. There was a reformation and new change took place in the management and it came to be known as “The Mahanagar Co-operative Bank Limited” from January 21, 1998. On January 30,1998 the bank received A grade recognition from the Reserve Bank of India and became a Scheduled Bank.
