Legal Issues

Doha Bank, whose largest shareholder is the Qatar Investment Authority has been accused of various money laundering charges, where in the money was transferred to various extremists in Syria by two wealthy brothers Moutaz and Ramez al-Khayyat.
Doha Bank has been accused by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) seeking the immediate payment for the financial creditors of Reliance Infratel which is INR 3,515 crore and must be done immediately as per judgement in 2021.
