The Bhagini Nivedita Sahakari Bank Limited was set up by Shri Vivek Dadhe, B.COM, FCA, a famous Chartered Accountant and his wife Mrs. Meenakshi Dadhe. The main motive of this bank was to encourage the development of cooperative society for the women and bring in women at par with their male counterparts. The name of the bank is very interesting as it is devoted to Sister Nivedita, the Irish Disciple of Swami Vivekananda, who sacrificed her luxurious life in Ireland and devoted her entire life to the service of mankind. Bhagini means woman power.

The motto of this bank is "A Bank that makes dreams worthwhile", and true to the motto the bank has raised the expectations by encouraging the people to have much needed financial freedom and effective management of the financial resources.
