The Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank is created as a result of merger of five Regional Rural Banks as per the Regional Rural Bank Act of 1976.
On March 31, 2006 five RRB were merged namely the Nagarjuna Grameena Bank, Sri Visakha Grameena Bank, Kakathiya Grameena Bank, Sangameswara Grameena Bank and the Manjira Gremeena Banks with its headquarters in Warangal.
